APPLICATION

Electrovent EFDR Round Fire Dampers are fire protection products used in HVAC installations to prevent the spread of fire inside round ductwork through fire-resistance rated walls and floors. EFDR Fire Dampers are SANS 193:2013 certified and 2-hour fire rated.

MATERIALS AND STRUCTURE

The EFDR casing and blade is manufactured from galvanised steel as standard. Blades are fitted in the casing with low friction brass bushes.

The EFDR (manual or electric) is fitted with a fusible link designed to close the fire damper when duct temperature exceeds 72˚C. Blade position is indicated from outside of the casing, and each fire damper is fitted with an inspection panel for easy fusible link replacement.

OPTIONS

The EFDR can be supplied with:

• Locking quadrant for manual operation

• Extended shaft actuator by others

• Electrical actuator motorising

The fail-safe spring return model is standard, though various other actuator options are available.

Fusible links are fitted to all EFDR fire dampers (manual and motorised) to ensure fail safe operation as links operate independently of the actuator in emergency high duct temperature conditions.

The EFDR is suitable for vertical and horizontal installation in walls and slabs.

EFDR is also available in 304 and 316 stainless steel.

Minimum size Ø100mm

Maximum size Ø400mm

Casing depth is 350mm as standard with options of 400mm, 450mm, 500mm and 600mm available.

EFDR has no flange.
