APPLICATION

Electrovent Pressure Control Dampers (EPCD) are airflow control products used in HVAC installations. EPCD can be used to control pressure or flow rates. EPCD is often employed in duct systems Aerofoil blades tip seals provide finer control and tighter shut off than flat blade dampers.

MATERIALS AND STRUCTURE

The EPCD frame is manufactured from galvanised steel as standard, blades are double skin aerofoil aluminium extrusion. Blades are fitted with tip seals to close blades edges in the closed position.

Blades are installed in the casing with low friction nylon bushes. Nylon gears provide opposed blade operation, gears are driven on a 13mm hex profile. Blades position is indicated from outside of the casing.

OPTIONS

The EPCD can be supplied with:

• Standard Aerofoil Blades

• Low Leakage Blades (Class 4)

The EPCD is suitable for vertical and horizontal installation in walls and slabs.

Spigots can be fitted for spiral duct installation.

Casing available in 304 and 316 stainless steel on request.

Parallel blade movement is available on request (opposed blade movement as standard).

INCLUDES DPT-CTRL Multifunctional PID controller.

Pressure Tubes.

Controller wired and mounted to damper.

STANDARD DIMENSIONS

Minimum size 150mm (w) x 150mm (h).

Maximum size in single section 1200mm (w) x 900mm (h).

Casing depth is 180mm as standard or to client specification.

Flange size is 30mm as standard or to client specification.
